Newer pans are designed to conduct heat better and cook foods faster at lower temperatures. That means less time spent in the kitchen and less electric energy (or gas) spent cooking food. That adds up to a big savings at the end of the month. That's my frugal tip for the day. Would you like to add a frugal tip of your own?

My frugal tip is do not go out and buy waxpaper all the time. Use the insides liners of the cereal boxes. You can roll out your pastry by rolling inside of the wax liner. You will not have to use that much flour and you can keep your kitchen table fairly clean. If the dough is not sticky, you can use the wax inside liner again.

I read that you can save dollars monthly by just setting your thermostat up 2 degrees. So I am trying it, I set it on 76. Hopefully, I'll have low electric bills this summer.
