apparently we are meant to eat 5 pieces of fruit or veg per day to keep us healthy lol, but personally i don't eat then that often, i actually coulkdn't count how many i have per day. i love both fruit and veg, but i have to be in the mood to eat any foods lol, it must take my fancy at the time of feeling hungry, or i just wont bother. one day i had a mad binge on fruit (i bought apples, plums, blueberries and cherries) then i ate the majority of them in one go! other days, all i fancy eating is chrisps :P

You must be in good health. You are right, we need to be in the right moods at times in order to eat certain foods especially fruits and vegetables. But you do show quite a good example of what our daily diets should be with regards to fruits. Thanks for sharing.:)

I usually eat fruits and vegetables every other day but I do eat both of it during weekends since I have lots of time to prepare for myself the vegetable menus. I know it is a balance diet eating fruits and vegetables.

before i was diagnosed as a hypertensive person, i used to eat a lot of meat, sausages, dried salted fish and even the pinoy 'balut'. everything changed after my doctor found out that i have a very high blood pressure. since then my diet was more on vegetable and fruits. i started eating vegetables almost three times a day coupled with fruits like ponkan oranges and banana. my favorite dishes include cooked veggies with fish as main ingredient, or the 'dinengdeng'or 'inabraw', an ilocano dish mostly composed of leaves of plants, squash, string beans, and many more. fruits and vegetables, i know are very rich in fibers which may help in reducing the level of cholesterol in the body.

No because it is too expensive. It sucks that all the junk food is on sale or the unhealthy stuff kids love to eat. But unfortunately I have little money and three boys. I buy whats on sale and what little fruits and fresh veggies i can afford. It really sucks that I can buy 5 boxes of fruit snax for the same price as like 2 or maybe 3 apples. Fruits and veggies should be way cheaper an junk food shuld be more expensive. Then maybbe we would have a lot more helathy people in the world.
