how thick should a fish tank be?

i have a red tail catfish, a red belly pacu, and a knife fish which i did'nt expect to grow 3 feet, the red tail being 4 feet and the pacu being the same as the knife fish. how big should my fish tank be and haw thick should the glass be?

To keep those "tank busters" you should have at least a 500 gallon tank because the red tail catfish can get to be over 7 foot in the wild. and even a 500 gallon tank would be small for a fish of that size. You might think about building a tank for these fish with concrete and a 1 & 1/2 inch thick glass front. It does not need to be deep, only about 3 foot but should be at least 10 foot by at least 5 foot wide.
