how thick should a fish tank be?

i have a red tail catfish, a red belly pacu, and a knife fish which i did'nt expect to grow 3 feet, the red tail being 4 feet and the pacu being the same as the knife fish. how big should my fish tank be and haw thick should the glass be? i appreciate the time fellas!

To keep those "tank busters" you should have at least a 500 gallon tank because the red tail catfish can get to be over 7 foot in the wild. and even a 500 gallon tank would be small for a fish of that size. You might think about building a tank for these fish with concrete and a 1 & 1/2 inch thick glass front. It does not need to be deep, only about 3 foot but should be at least 10 foot by at least 5 foot wide.
