Question about thumb suckers

My daughter was never a thumb sucker when she was a baby. But, she did put her fingers in her mouth. She grew out of that habit very quickly. But, lately, I've noticed that has started doing the same thing. And, she's not a baby anymore. I'm not sure why kids do this. Recently, we introduced our cats back inot the house, so maybe she's nervous about that. I am not sure. Were your children thumb suckers? How long did it take them to grow out of that phase?

My children never have this problem. According to our belief, when a baby sucks her thumb she is longing for another sister/brother. So start planning another one.

My kids never sucked their thumb. Trenton he carries around his blankie and always chewed the tag. He still does whne he sleeps or cuddles with it. We have replaced the tag 4 times now. We thought maby we shouldnt but he will cry and cry for days about it....and he is 3! SOo...........we keep putting it on. LOL. He also has always chewed on his stuffed fishys face for some reason. He still does this as well...when he is falling asleep. Hes weird. My 2 yr old....he just started sticking his whole hand in his mouth and chewing on his fingers, YUCK! I have been pulling his hand out of his mouth and telling him to keep it out of there. He usually listens right then and there but LATER I find him doing it agian. My kids are weird!
