Have you ever caught your best friend in a lie?

Awhile back, I caught my best friend in a lie. Not a big lie. Just one of those tiny self serving lies. The lie made her look really good, and I'm sure she was just bragging anyway.
But, ever since then, things have been weird between us. She has no idea that I know what she did. And, I don't
plan to tell her either.
How would you have handled the same situation?
Have you ever caught a friend in a lie?
Did you tell her you knew that she was lying or just let her get away with the lie?
How did it affect your friendship?

For me, a relationship whether it be between friends or lovers if it is based on lies it will not last long. Honesty is very important in a relationship. I too, had a similar situation between I consider my friend. He said, he'd never lie on things. But then he mistakenly sent a message to me that was supposed to be sent to her girlfriend. I found out that he's been lying to his girlfriend. Ever since then, it was different. No matter how I see things, it will never be the same again. If he'd been lying to his girlfriend and pretend about something that isn't, what more to me who is just a friend. It really affects the relationship.

I've friends who have lied to me.
My best friends wouldn't do that and those who are my best friend(s) which I have to a side from my wife. we're open so we know what's what and to the point.
In the past my best friends at the time probably would of lied and I have caught a few of them. ~Joey

ooh! i catch my bestrfriend lying lotsa times...i just never really mention it to her, you know, that i think she is lying...but, she just lies regarding really minor things which i don't think is a really a good issue to fight about, so i just let her slip... i guess she just didn't feel comfortable about telling m ethe truth, but hey, that's alright with me...i'm all for the whole privacy thing...if she feels she is ready to share the truth with me, then i'd gladly wait...i don't want to push her into telling me things that she doesn't want to...
