E-mails that claim they "track" and donate money...

Today I received this e-mail from my sister-in-law. I have received other e-mails like this, but I've had enough, and I'm setting the record straight. First the e-mail will start out with some sort of tocuhing poem or song. Then The e-mail claims that someone close to the sender (the original one that started the forwarding, not my sister-in-law) is ill with some kind of disease, most likely cancer. It then goes on to state that they don't have the money for an operation to save her, however some top company (This one said AOL and ZDNet) have teamed up and will donate some sort of money to the family for each person or group of persons (this one said 32 cents for every 3 people) the e-mail is forwarded to, and claims that the e-mails are being tracked by AOL and ZDNet. The reason this frustrates me is because if you check AOL's own help center and other tech sites, you will discover that this e-mail is fraud. There is no way to track e-mails like this, and there is no money being donated to any family. The e-mail simply plays on people's sympathies just to get it forwarded. The reward for the original sender: I have no freaking idea. It's just stupid and I'm tired of receiving these e-mails. They are unsympathetic to the real people out there who have cancer and can't pay for the treatment they need to survive. Instead of forwarding these e-mails for absolutely no purpose at all, how about getting out from in front of the computer and donate some money, if you can, to a cancer-related non-profit organization.

I don't appreciate that type of email and my friends and family know enough than to send them to me. Of course it's just to play on our sympathy but other than than I can't figure out why they get started to begin with. I personally feel their a wast of my time.

When I get an email like that, I reply to all and send them a link from Snopes.com that shows it is stupid and no one is getting any money from anywhere. I haven't gotten one of those emails in ages. LOL!

I made up an email around last year and this year I got it back from one of my friends I was like WOW it is still going around also have got the same emails over and over again. I wish some people would learn how to remove the names when the Foward there emails also I have to open them like 5 to 6 times. If I was a spammer I would be in Heaven with all the email addresses that i get..lol Have a Great Day/Night.
