the longest lines

Two questions in this one! 1. What was the longest line you ever stood in? either for a show, an event, for tickets,a ride, for food? 2. What is the longest you have ever stood in line... same as above, only talking duration of your wait instead of length of the line. some move faster than others you know? I am thinking about those who stand in line over night, camping out so that they can be sure to get a ticket for a certain event or concert. ---------------- For me, both times were for the same event. It was in Dallas Texas standing in line for the Antiques Road Show to have our items appraised. I think we were in that very slow moving line for more than 4 hours - it went from being mazed within one huge mall center - over a bridge across the street and mazed within another huge building - upstairs, downstairs all around. I wonder just how many people they saw!

Lol. That is a good one modest. I know that the longest line that i ever stood in was in the American embassy when i applied for my American visa. I was standing in line for seven hours, yep seven hours. I almost gave up and went back home, it was terrible. I really never experienced long lines with anything. Usually i go to performances or shows, only when people invite me. And they always make sure that i won't stand in line.

oh my goodness! was the line full of thousands of people or were the people just taking their sweet time to get things done? that is an awful wait - you could have made a full days wages while standing in line! I would have been afraid to make a bathroom break, that I would end up in the back of the line again.

I think the longest line would be the rides at the theme parks. The second longest line is the haunted houaes.

I can answer those two questions with one answer. It's at the bank. It's Friday, you've worked all week, you're so tired and glad it's Friday but they've sent you to early lunch which means you still have 5 hours straight to go (checkout operator) before you finish. I always used to bank on Friday and usually would get straight through but this day one of the tellers had gone home ill, one was at lunch and that left one on the desk and a queue. I still had to eat lunch, I was starving, and the bank manager walked in and out a couple of times and took no notice of the queue. Of course everyone seemed to have an awful lot of banking to do and then there were customers who just had to gossip and chat once their turn came. I was uncomfortable, fuming and I ended up leaving even though my partner's account would be penalised because I didn't deposit his payment.

longest line in general? probably the first showing of "the empire strikes back" when it first came out. i'm not even sure where the line ended,we were in front though. longest duration was probably overnight ticket waiting.. but the most annoying one was 4 hrs waiting to be seated at a restaurant on thankgiving.only reason i put up with that wait was cause it meant so much to grandma.

I think the longest line for me, in terms of amount of time, had to be with getting gas before a hurricane last year. There were news about gas shortages so everyone went nuts putting gas. I was in a line for 3 hours. I actually sent my brother to the supermarket nearby to go buy some supplies while I waited in line. Lol. Longest line with just a lot of people, was again in relation to a storm, and the supermarket lines went all the way to the back of the place. So fun, the storm season...heh!
