How to add referrals in mylot?

I'm a newbie here at mylot. Can someone teach me how my referral can indicate that I referred him/her here? hope that this could also help other newbie navigate their way around mylot regarding the referral.coz when i signed-up for mylot i didn't remember mylot asking me about who referred me here. but she was already in my "friends" tab, does that mean that mylot knows that i was invited by her?
