How often do you wear your seatbelt when driving or riding in a vehicle? I will admit that I do not wear it everytime but I am getting better. I don't why I developed this habit because I used to wear it every single time. It's even saved my life in an accident before. I'm becoming much more aware, trying to remember the time it saved my life and I make sure those in my car wear it as well. I usually do when driving for 30 minutes or longer, but when I am just going down the road or a few minutes away I have a bad habit of forgetting.

Here in Ontario it is law to wear your seatbelt. I always wear mine because I have had friends die in car accidents because they weren't wearing a belt and statistically speaking it does save lives. I hate wearing a seatbelt because I am short and the shoulder strap cuts into my neck and really hurts sometimes but I do weat it. Also when I had my own vehicle I wouldn't drive it unless my friends buckled up too.

I always wear mine, it's pathetic, even if I'm moving the car back a few inches from the garage to the driveway. LOL. I'm just so used to it, I feel sorta naked if I'm in a car and don't feel the seatbelt straps on my shoulder. When I was young my parents always made us wear our belts to the point that now my brother and I both feel like we left something at home if we aren't wearing them. I guess it's good thing, but it's a little extreme if you ask me!

I learned as a child to wear my seat belt willingly. My parents didn't push the issue, but I can't tell you how many times I would end up in the floorboard while riding with them. So I started putting the darn things on all by self. Now it's a must for anyone riding in my car. They help keep us safe and they are really not the big of a deal to me, so it's cool.

suzuki swift - my car, suzuki swift
i usually put on my seatbelt after i've started my engine. it's a habit actually, no matter how far or near. you never know, seatbelt plays an important role! you should never be in a car without a seatbelt, if possible!^_^

I wear mine all the time. It doesn't matter if I'm only going a mile. I can't afford to pay a ticket, so it's always on. Now, if I could get my husband to wear his all the time.

I've went back and forth with it. I'll do good for awhile and then suddenly I notice that I'm back an that old habit of forgetting about it. My son is 4 which is a great age to help me to remember to wear it. I don't feel that it's fair that he has to be strapped in if I'm not going to be. Plus I need to be his role model. Now that he has it all figured out, he'll remind me if I forget to put it on. I've been guilty of not putting it on because I'm just driving a block or two, but that's what helps throw me back into that bad habit. Now I put it on before I start the car no matter where I'm going to try to help me in the long run.

I have been wearing mine since the accident that killed my Mustang...I ended up sitting on the passenger floor, watching the trees spinning above me! Besides, I have a child & if I don't, he won't & that will be bad with all the bad drivers on the roads today!

I wear it every single time, no exceptions. There is no reason that I wouldn't do it.

I wear mine all the time, its just an automatic reaction to sit down and put my belt on. I also have children in the car so its a good example.

My family and I live in a very small town, so small that we only have one red light LOL. Our "downtown" is about a mile from where we live and so is our church. I have to admit that if I'm going "downtown" or to church I don't put my seatbelt on. But if we are going any further than that I always buckle up. SheliaLee

I wear my seat belt every time my motoe vehicle leaves my driveway. If I am running down the street to get something from the local gas station or to grab the children from school I put my seat belt on. I don't however wear my seat belt if I am just backing up my vehicle in the driveway. I don't see the need.

You KNow I find it very difficult to wear a seat Belt while In a Car because One time Several years Ago I was In a horrible Car accident while I was Pregnant with my Second Child and had I been wearing My seat Belt that Day I would Have Been Killed In my Car that Day , And because I wasn't I was able to Work myself Between the Seats and Get Out the One Window that Broke Out and Get Out Of the Car And GEt away From the Car Before it Started Fire . It Fliped On its Top and The Top of the Car Came Down to the Top of the Seats and Because I was Not wearing My seat belt I was able to Lay Over So I would Not be crushed . So I don't Find It very safe In all Instances To wear Seat Belts . Just My experiance .

I don't wear a seat belt because the law here doesn't mandate so.We have no lane traffic so far so that accidents resulting from direct collission is low.If crashes the car will be crushed as in a junkyard so seat-belt will not come to help.Seat belts help more often in cases where u will be hurled out in cases of accidents. Here there is no need of it.

I always wear my seatbelt even when I am a passenger. It is a law in the State of Illinois and I really don't want to get a ticket. I have seen them at the entrances of subdivisions checking people as they leave. So I always wear my seatbelt. And you are right it does save lives.

Everytime I ride a car I wear a seatbelt. but mostly of the car here in Cebu especially the taxi, they take off the seatbelts. I don't know why they do that. Maybe they don't know what's the important of seatbelt. I just started using it when I learned how to drive.
