Can grass be pink? Can horses be purple?

Yesterday my three year old daughter was drawing in her color book, and decided to make all the horses purple. She then proceeded to turn the grass pink, and people's faces got a nice shade of blue. At first I was going to tell her that things weren't that color, but then thought, maybe this is how kids see them. Maybe there are no limitations to their imaginations, just the ones that parents impose on them. So, I picked up yellow crayon and happily colored the clouds.

Let her imagination run free. It is so sad to go into a school and see the rows of pictures all exactly the same. There is no sense of self-expression or creativity. Why does she have to color things the 'right" way. Art is always the expression of the artists. No one would tell an adult artist not to paint melting clocks, so why tell her not to color pink grass?
