Thoughts on the book

Has anyone read Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell? I read it about a year ago and find it to be my favorite. The way Clarke writes evokes a lot of emotion, not to mention that her irony is exquisite. If you like fantasy you ought to read! So...whats everyone think about her characters??
