Nobody else in my family (other than my husband) knows my passwords or anything, so they don't really have any way of getting into my email or voicemail, but I would be pretty annoyed if someone did. If my husband looked at it, I wouldn't really care since I'm not hiding anything from him, although I would wonder why he wanted to see it. It might make me feel like didn't trust me or something though, so I guess it might bug me just a little.

i respect your opinion and i know that its okay to allow the husband to read wife's messages, but still for me i find it really annoying if my boyfriend or other people in our house read my private message.

I don't live with any family other than my fiance and my kids and I wouldn't mind my fiance reading my e-mail or any of that because I have nothing to hide and he doesn't care either and thats fine with me. -Lora

Almost all time , I open my mail account in presence of my wife, since I don't feel I need to hide anything from her.But still I won't be happy if she tries to open my account in my absence. Then it will be more like a cheating.I always like to share most of the things with my partner. So i wish she does't want to cross check me, that is the matter. I feel emails and cell phones are more of a private matter, and it is better not to involve in each others privacy without their knowledge. Also if you doubt any one of your family there are many other ways you can understand. You just can understand from their emotions , provided you too love them. No one can hide every thing from the dear ones. So where is the need of email checking!

I would allow them, only if such message or messages concern/s them. I feel ok, since such message or messages concern/s them anyway. If they would try to invade my privacy by surreptitiously reading my emails or text messages, without my stamp of approval or consent, though, I would naturally feel disappointed, since I value my privacy so much and I trust them to respect that.

nope, its my privacy and they dont have any right unless i give them permission to snoop in my things. If they did it to me then it'll be world war 3 between us :)
