Does your cat eat plastic bags?

I have 3 cats, and my one cat tends to chew on and pretty much eat plastic bags. I have to hide every bag in the house, or else he chews them and eats them up. I have no idea why he does this but I'm so afraid he is going to get sick.
If my kitchen trash bag is just a little over the brim of the lid, he will chew the heck out of that too. I don't know what to do to stop him. He is obsessed, and it makes me crazy.
if your cat does this, how do you get them to stop?

My cat doesn't but then again she doesn't come out from under the couch much.

My cat does the same, he regularly chews the same way on our kitchen trash bag if it's a little over the brim of the lid and he immediately starts to chew on any plastic bag just lying out for a few seconds. He chews on potato chip bags too, he's crazy.

I wonder if it's a male cat thing? It seems female cats only lick them-- but the boys are the chewers and the eaters. I wish he would quit! I've done good hiding bags from him, but now that I have a child, we normally have a bag of diapers sitting around somewhere-- and he is determined to chew it and eat it up!

My cat likes to attack plastic bags. The only think I really need to watch her around is tape. lol. For some reason she really likes tape! So whenever a package comes in the house, we gotta make sure there's no exposed tape that she can lick and chew.

I was about to start a support group for cats addicted to plastic. I have this one cat and she loves plastic bags and wrappers. She has been like that since she was a young kitten. Fortunately she just chews and licks and doesn't swallow. I have grown to accept it and if I put down plastic wrapper anywhere I can just assume Georgette will find it and lick and chew it.
