Has anybody played Catan? After trying the demo of it, I was hooked! It's a great strategy game where you place settlements to earn resources and use those resources to build your civilization. It's based on a board game. The online play is pretty good as well. Anyone else played any?

We regularly play Catan. We started with Settlers of Catan, but now usually play Seafarers of Catan or Starfarers of Catan. We love this board game. It's definately in our top 5. (Catan, Power Grid, Agricola, Battlestar Galactica and Arkham Horror) I haven't played it on 360, but my friend told me they recently started doing so. He had nothing but great things to say about the format. I sometimes play Catan online at the world of Catan. They offer 4 free daily games, and if you pay for an account you can play any of the Catan games online with real people all day. It cost me about $20 for 3 months. Actually, considering we spend about 3-5 nights a week playing board games at home with family and friends, it's funny I play online as well. BUT, it's really a great game! My son hates it. He calls it the sheep-sheep-brick game, because the sound of our trading interferes with his television watching. LOL.
