How Many Jobs Have You Held Down At the Same Time????

I just got a second job. Hours sucked at my first job, at B&N. So now I'm working at retail part of Legoland in one of the shops. I've never held down more than one job at one time. So this is a first for me, but times are tough, and its summer so now I have 2 jobs going on. Brings me to this question. How many jobs have you held down at the same time? I've heard of people doing up to 3 at once. Some go to school, and some just work. I think its harsh to think of anything but working two jobs and nothing else. So what about you? One job only? Two? More? My cousin was doing like 5 jobs different times for a while, she didnt sleep much. One was doing stuff at home but the others were varied. Thanx for all your thoughts!!!! :))

I've had 2 jobs at one time. I did that for a year. It's very tiring and I would never do it again. Never had anytime to spend with my famuly. I've learned that you must live within your means.

I once worked in a takeaway shop, worked as a support worker and sold make up via a party plan all at once, it was very hard but I managed to do it for a few months until my job as a support worker gave me enough hours to give the rest up. I dont think that I could do it again these days though!

Depends on how you define job. I work fulltime, I run a business, I freelance for severl places, so some writing and take media work whenever its offered. On a normal day I only work on maybe two of these at once though. Even so, I don't ever have an hour where I'm awake and not working on one of them in some shape or form.

Hello, monkeywriter,I have only one job at the moment, may be two if i consider mylot as my second job. Anyway,i cannnot imagine how some people can handle three jobs at one time, may be they are working for two jobs and studying part time or even need to take care of their children, they may have sacrify their time of sleeping for this, but i wonder for how long they can hang on like that.

I held 2 jobs now but both on consultancy. The other one, I call it my future "business" since I also do it 4 - 5 hours a day. Since its really important nowadays to plan for your career path I chose tho quit my full-time job and hold 2 part-times then still have the time to look after my two kids. I call the other one consultancy since they will just call me when they need my help and the other one a business since I distribute products we personally use...It's fun and I'm happy with my decision because unlike before, I was really tied up with the 8 hour job. I highly recommend you start a small business. Just like what I did, you have to choose what products or services that you are interested in. Find your passion, then start from there..Good luck!

Most I've ever worked at once were three jobs, technically. When I was about 19 and newly-married, with my now-ex in naval school, I got a job at a bagel shop, and later moved onto working commissary for them as a second job, making cream cheese products, etc. Later on I decided I need more money, so I got a job for a few nights during the week at the pizza place nextdoor, waitressing. Man, I got so burnt out haha. The waitressing didn't last too long, after I got fed up soon after dropping ten cokes on some poor guy, so I refuse to go down that road again, but I do sometimes miss the people at the bagel place hehe. After that I've worked two jobs at time for about a year when I moved, still struggling but not as much as before. Now, I work several jobs, but they're all part-time, at-home gigs and not all that often. At least I get to enjoy a little freedom in that aspect lol. I can't see going to school, though, and work more than one job. I don't get how people manage that. Doh!

I've only two jobs at the same time. I was 16 and going to college full time while working at a daycare and at a telemarketing firm. I didn't have the telemarketing job long because I got tired of people cursing me out. At 16 I tended to take things harder than I should have.

I have had three jobs at one time. I work in a factory full time. At one time I also held a part time position at a local restaurant as well as at a convienience store. I did salad prep and shift clean up at the restaurant a few nights a week and hours at the convienience store normally included Saturday and Sunday mornings. It meant working on the holidays as well. The pay wasn't terrible but wasn't all that great and with the cost of gasoline these days the distance I had to drive would make it not worthwhile on a financial basis and that is usually why you work. You need the money.

I have held down three different jobs for the same outfit before they were all spare call in jobs but it got pretty hair at times to say the least. Some days i would go to work from 730am in the morning and go home from 2-3pm and work from 3-11pm and i did that alot. Now i am full time as a matter of fact just got home and hour ago from work so i only have to do one job now instead of many but i did it that way for five years before i landed this one steady.

at the most i held on with two jobs.once i was a working student and working with pizza hut philippines then after that i worked with a travel agency and as a DJ for a jazz bar and smae goes when several music companies hired me and still working at night in the jazz bar until then i put up my music store and still maintaining a day job.now, that i am retired from employment ,i am still doing multiple job to earn.balancing your time is the hardest but i have learned to go slow and sure. i don't want to be in the rar race anymore, it's gonna be my own pace, slow but sure.

I used to be an elementary school teacher (which is WAY more than a full time job), was taking graduate school classes and did some tutoring for extra money. It almost killed me. I don't feel like I did anything to the best of my ability. I only did it for one sememster. After that I cut way back because my students meant the most to me.

I've held two jobs at one. I was in college, doing a work-study, and took a job doing photography. The photography job was on an as-needed basis, so some weeks I only did a couple hours and other weeks I'd have 15. It worked out for me since my classes and work-study job were during the normal work week and my photography jobs were nights and weekends. One friend of mine was a student, working in the same work-study as me, waitressing nights, and operating a screen printing business with her mom. I don't know how she did it.

I actually hold down a plethora of jobs right now, and I don't exactly work outside the home. I am the Editor-in-Chief of two different magazines (Teen Trend and Multiples), I do psychic readings over the phone, I am a movie auditor, I run a theatrical production company, and I am a freelance writer. I'm sure that there are some other things that I am forgetting, but that is the source of my income.
