Ever said something before you could stop yourself?

When I was a lad, working in a local supermarket, a grumpy old man came in while I was filling up fruit and veg. He just stood behind me, not saying anything, and then finally said such and such was cheaper at the big supermarket in the city centre. Before I could stop myself, I growled ' then @#*$ of there and buy it'. He had a bit of a look at me, before heading off. I wasn't really like that, he just caught me at a bad time, and he wasn't a regular, and it just slipped out! Anyone else got a tale to tell?

Im a very talkative person since in my line of job i need to be constantly verbal, I once metioned something that I was told not to mention because Im so absent minded, it almost got me fired fortunately it was cleared before I got the sanctions. That taught me a lesson to watch what I say, when I say it and how I say it. This practice now saves my but all the time and I believe self control over talking is a need that we should do sometimes to keep the relationship we have with the people around us...ITS CALLED TACT hahah

Yes, you are right, tact is a good talent to have, lol! At least you didn't suffer the harsh penalty from a little slip of the tongue, or as it be, a little lapse in memory!

i have the tendency to be tactless at times and there are times that i really hate it when i just blurt out something that i didn't really meant.

I'm usually more tactful, but this guy obviously brought out my nasty side! It's a bugger when it just slips out before you can stop it!
