Most of the places around here charge $3.00 an hour but offer a discount if you buy a large block of time. I have to use them from time to time when my wireless goes down but. There are times when I will go for the gaming conventions that they host. What are the going rates in your area? Do you like to use them more than the public library internet access?

almost all of the internet cafes here in our place (the philippines) charges each of their customers the standard rate of $.50 an hour using DSL and broadband connections. the only time i visit a cyber cafe is when my broadband goes down and so far it happens only once since it was installed few months back. i have never been to a public library internet access yet because i understand we don't have it here in our place.

the cafes around here charge $6hr min no discount. you can get a free hour at the library, but they have a long line and they bug you the whole time. 6 is average though, even for kinko's.

We do not have anything like that in my area YET, but they are talking about starting one. Unfortunately, I am sure that they will be using the same ISP as I am, so their internet probably will not be anymore reliable than the internet that I have been complaining about for the past few years.
