Do you treat your pets as your family members or do they have any special status in your home? Dogs as pets come very close to human beings, and eventually they are mostly treated as family members... Many people eat with their pets, sleep with their pets... Are you the same?

We own one cat and he's definitely part of the family, I really do see him as my little boy. He doesn't sleep with us at night, but we do lots of things together mostly because he just loves to be with us. He's a very affectionate cat and loves human company and attention.

I have two cats that I treat as if they were my children. But, then, I don't have human kids, so that could be why. I don't eat with them or sleep with them, but other than that, they pretty much get to do what they want. The only thing I don't let them do is to go outside.

I love my cats. They eat and sleep with me. I spoil them with lots of love and attention and toys. They are my family, why wouldn't they be? They live with me indoors, and give me unconditional love. Yes dear, they most certainly are family members, they are my furry children.

Old Rosie and friends. - Old Rosie and three generations of black lab friends - Lilly the pup, my Ruby at 18 months and Tammy 4yrs in the garden after swimming in the river.
Oh yes. Our pets are part of our family. An example of that is we got a card the other day letting us know that one of our puppies that we sold 12 years ago has just been put down. They wrote to thank us for helping to breed such a wonderful dog that had given them so much love and pleasure for all those years. How touching. Sleep well Rosie!

My cat Wilbur comes in the house and eats, and when winter is here, he will come in the house and spend the night there. He will sleep on one of the beds or the couch or the loveseat or the floor. My dog stays outside. We have tried to get him to come in the house during the winter so he can stay warm, but we can't get him to set foot in the laundry room, so he stays outside.
