Do you have one every night after dinner? If so, is it a tradition or just something you and your family like to do? What kind of dishes do you like to make......?

Dessert is thoroughly enjoyed in our house however rarely do we have it here. When eating out it can be more common. We like ice cream, donuts, cake, pies, cobbler and candy. Again we just don't keep it in the house. We use bread to go with the meal so we are filled by meals end. If anything else is eaten it is usually popcorn.

i do take dessert on special occasions but on a plain and regular day i do not eat dinner because of my special diet. i am losing some weight now and i don't want to ruin it by just eating what i want.

Here where I am, desserts are not really a tradition. I find this a good thing else there will be more people who will get out of shape and have to contend with weight and fitness issue. Occasionally when I am very hungry or when there are certain occasions, supper would be one indulgence. It is not that we can't afford the extra meal lol, it's just that we don't really have this habit of eating so near bed time.

a dessert can be a small sweet thing after dinner. its not tradition here just something, some family like to do after dinner. like i said,we dont but our kids might have some ice-cream and thats only in the summer. my inlaw always eat dessert and when we visit, we have to tell them no thanks, sometimes we will have a little something but not always. too rich for my liking, thanks for the response

For me, I would really categorize sweet things as junk food. They are just empty calories and serve no real purpose. Since I do not have a sweet tooth, you might be able to understand why having no supper is not a big deal to me. I don't exactly fancy having ice cream everyday too. I am a big guy lol so I can easily eat supper if I want to. No one is gonna stop me haha but I just don't really have any urges to have supper. :P

I don't have dessert usually. In the summer time though my BF and I go to the ice cream stand down the road once or twice a month for hot fudge sundaes.

I don't have dessert very often sarah, although my kids do most nights, providing they have eaten a healthy dinner beforehand! This can be anything from a piece of fruit to a sweety or ice cream but they do look forward to it! xxx

We really dont eat much in the way of desserts. Sometimes we have cake and end up throwing most of it out cause we dont finish it. I prefer pies or fruit for dessert. Part of our problem is that we usually say we will have the dessert an hour or so after the supper and then we forget about it.
