Does charity go right way?

Some of us live luxuriously. Eat the most delicious dishes and wear costliest possible costumes. There is other who lives on pavements, do not get anything to eat more than once a day and wear tattered cloths. For such people, there are many charities. They help the poor for life's basic needs like food, clothes and shelters. I believe that charity encourages people not to work. My experience says that many people find it convenient to depend on charity. So, I can say, no one should show charity under any circumstances. Friends I may be wrong, please share your opinion.

The only charity I support is animals. All they want is to be loved... and I don't think they take advantage of support given.

no problem. I'm sure a lot more people use it for the right reasons than the wrong too... but I still like animals a lot.
