Have you ever been secretly videotaped?

Awhile back I heard about a young woman who had been secretly video-taped by her boy friend, without her knowledge. He uploaded the video onto the Internet and made money by selling access to the video.
Needless to say, these were private moments that you wouldn't want shared with the world. She was devastated when she found out.
Needless to say, I was shocked. What an invasion of privacy! Who would do something like that to someone they supposedly loved.
Has this happened to someone you know? Is this legal? Why don't websites require people to sign "model release" forms?
With offline magazines, those are mandatory.

I am not sure if I have, but if I have and find out about it. You bet I would be irrate! How could he have done that to his girlfriend, that is down right mean and to then put it on the web for everyone to see. I imagine what he did was very illegal and you would think she should press charges for violation of her privacy. What a jerk!!!! Oh this makes me so mad!

Well, it's great you started this discussion because I was just about to! Just today in my local newspaper, a landlord was arrested for installing spycams in the bathrooms of his tenant's house. The tenants happened to be college girls and he installed the spycams in all 3 bathrooms! What a perv~! Luckily one of the girls caught a suspicious blinking red light from the spycam and opened up the device. She made a police report straightaway. Too bad she didn't find it earlier though. I wonder how long they've been spying on those poor girls.. The police are now trying to get hold of the recorded videos before it gets out. But I'm sure it's already circulating everywhere~! Poor girls... :(
