I had a weird dream last night...does anyone know what this means?

Last night I had a dream that I found two paychecks up in my cabinet and they were no longer any good because I'd held onto them for too long. Sometimes I do have a habit of holding onto checks a little too long. But, these checks were over six months old. One check was for a small amount like $40 and the other was $60, I think. But, the funny part is that both were from affiliate companies that I represent. Do you think the dream means that I will lose money, because I'm waiting too long? Or, could it mean that all my hard work with my affiliate programs will actually pay off? Are dreams literal? Maybe there's an interpretation that I'm missing.
