Do you think eBay does enough to protect it's users against fraud?

I have been robbed several times on eBay. And, they say they can do nothing about it. It is irritating because it is one of the cheapest places to get things I could otherwise not afford. What do you think about their policies regarding fraud?

Their policies regarding fraud are pretty much worthless. They are there so they can pat themselves on the back for having a policy.
Paypal is the same way, only that department seems to be gradually getting a clue. Threats of a few class actions might have helped.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. They try and make you feel like you are the one who is doing wrong. When, all you want is to get what you paid for. Most of my experiences have been good. But, it's the 2 or 3 bad ones that stick out in my mind. Mostly because the companies did virtually nothing to help me.

Its up to you to protect yourself, I have been buying and selling on ebay since 99 and have only once had a problem and that was with a buyer.
Check the sellers feedback, read the whole auction and pay thru Paypal with a credit card.
