Do you think that people who drink alcohol have a harder time losing weight than someone who is sober? Or, do you think that people who have an occasional drink are slimmer than those who don't?

I know that everyone's metabolism is different. For myself I have found that if I drink and eat the same amount of calories throughout the day I will gain weight 'big time'...So I came to the conclusion that if I want to drink more than usual I have to eat very little food and just drink my calories for the day. When I do that I find that I actually lose weight.

I agree with country. My husband though is a drinker and he is a heavier guy while I don't drink and I was a pretty slim girl (the pregnancy kill that though) lol

I think it is all over the board. I have known heavy drinkers that are overweight because they don't exercise and have a tendency to eat junk when they drink and I have known heavy drinkers who don't tend to eat because they are full from all the drink they imbibe. My personal opinion is that there are so many other factors such as food intake, heredity, exercise amount, etc that play into whether someone is think or not.
