HOOKA, Water Pipe,Smokeing

Who has tried the Hooka? The Hooka is originaly from Turkey. I discovered it in Cairo. It is ancient. I brought one home with me since I enjoyed it so much. I found it has a slightly calming effect. And no it is not used for the other kind of smoking (lol) It is not a substitute for cigarettes and it will not help you to quit smoking. It is quite a ritual to get the Pipe ready to smoke. But once set up it can help you pass a pleasant hour or so. Of course in Eastern Europe, at outdoor cafes, the waiter will set it up for you. Because of the st-up time I am not able to use it everyday. So when I do it is a treat.

Hookas are very calming and can make for a great get-together. I've smoked hookas in cafes in New York City with friends to pass the time. There are quite a few places to smoke in downtown Manhattan. I also smoked with a co-worker, who would invite me over to his house to enjoy a hooka. This post makes me want to buy a hooka of my own!

I am all for it. Luckily mine was sent to me from Asia as a gift as they knew I was partial to the Hooka. The next time I see one that is for two people I am going to buy it without hesitation.
