My Mother-In-Law has just came back from her heart operation procedure and is now resting at home. I am unsure as to what fruits are suitable to be given to her. According to the doctor, she cannot take any hard fruits yet. We've been giving her watermelon and mangoes as they are soft enough for her. Any ideas from my fellow myLotters? Bananas are a no-no too.. Hmmmm.....

How about dragon fruit. I went to the plantation in Chengmai sometime back and they said that dragon fruit is good for those people who have heart problem. The guide then said that it help to strengthen the muscle around the heart. Don't know how true it is. RTM also recently showed a documentary on this fruit and the benefit of it from the Felcra researched. Frankly, I dont fancy the fruit. Why dont you let her try them. Perhaps jelly gamat also good to heal the wound inside. Usaha lah mana yg termampu.

I had heart surgery last year, and they let me eat bananas in the hospital...wonder why her doctor said no? There are other kinds of melon that are soft, like canteloupe and honey dew.
