Ever had a scary moment with your young child?

My son had only just started teething, and some people had recommended a certain biscuit that was good for that as they were hard, and the kids couldn't get bits off. My son had only had the biscuit for a few moments, and had broken a big off and started gagging. My wife had to stick her fingers right back to dislodge the chunk. Yeah, that was a real good recommendation. NOT! One other time, when we gave him the right dose of an child painkiller, he suddenly went so docile, it was really scary. We since changed brands, and no more probs with that! Any moments you'd like to share?

Once my kid swalloed a bottle cap sized of a doller and it was stuck in between and is not coming out nor going in then he was not able to breath out properly for the moment i take the cap out of his mouth,i just gone on punching on his back for 3to 5 times and then it came out and my kid suffered wioth the lack of breathing and a lot of saffrocation and for that day he cant forget and he even does not ate anything except milk and we are very afraid and are very carefull with all small things and managed ourselves to keep out of his reach then onwards.

Yes that is such a scary thing to see your child not being able to breath. It really is so freaky, and my wife and I were always very aware of what we fed our son, and like you, aware of small things that could be swallowed.
