Separating the Family?

If you were NOT in financial distress, would you take on work that would take you away from your kids? This is assuming you had relatives that you could trust to take care of them? Or would you stay with your kids while your husband took on work? The purpose would be to earn enough money to say start your own business, save for the future, etc. Or would you stay together as a family even if it meant earning less?

i would prefer to stay with my kids. Additional work could earn extra income but my priorities are for my kids to be "emotionally" secured and this security can only come from the parents and not from other people. The emotional security they would have would make them a stronger person as they go thru adulthood. Also, children are great immitators, they immitate the character, the attitudes of the people they are with. I would rather want them to learn those values, those essential things from me. I have to be honest, both of my parents had to work, I wouldn't want my kids to experience what I have done through. As parents, we are the best person to guide our kids to reach their potential.

I will stay for ever and don't trust any body to care of my children. I will let my husband do the job and I will just stay with my kids and take care of them. There are some ways to help your husband without going out and work and earn some money. The most important thing is I did not let my children to be with someone I can't trust if they really took care of my chuildren or not.

If I were you and were not in Financial distress, I wouldn't be away from my kids as the money you can earn in the future while the time lost with your child and your family, you can never make up for it.

I would stay with my family. Money helps, but isn't everything. I would rather enjoy being with my children and watching them grow then to miss out on all the miraculous things kids learn growing up.
