I was put on high blood pressure medicine without being told first of the side effects...the most important side effect is if I stopped taking it I could have a heart attack. This upsets me for the fact of never being told about the medicines side effect & there were actually times I didn't take it.I wish I had been told.Would this upset you? What would you do?

Yes it would! I know many Doctors feel it's such a small chance, it's not important. However, they totally over look our rights to know what the heck we may be getting into. Last year one of my children's doctors prescribed an asthma medication, that came with a side effect of possibility triggering fatal attacks!!! I had already known about this medication before hand and I called him on it when he tried to prescribe it. I asked him, would he be willing to take that chance with his child? His answer was, he his son was using it. I told him, "I am a risk taker with my own life, not my kids. We'll stick with what we have been using, thanks so much." I mean these side effects are listed because they have happened or they think it’s could. I don’t take them lightly at all and I wish Doctors wouldn’t as well.
