Although it has an advantage to borrow a book. That is you will finish reading it as soon as possible so that you can return it. However, I still like buying a book. As it'll be clean and I can read whenever I like. I like to own something that belongs to me:)

Hi, youless. I like reading books. However, I do not buy too much only if it's in need or I'm really interested in it. On most occasion, I just borrow them to read. By the way, more and more books are more expensive than before. :) Have a nice day!

hi youless! i love reading and i love to buy new books.. Because i love collecting books by some authors.. and hopefully have a library in my home one day. I don't mind buying secondhand books if it's too difficult to obtain.. like the old canvas-bound books by Leo Tolstoy.

Oooh, I wanna have a library too!! I love reading and I prefer to buy than borrowing, because some people are very particular about the way other people handle their books (like me!).. LOL

I very rarely read a book, probably 2 in 10 years. But I will not borrow for some reason, I will have to go and buy it brand new.

i love shopping... :D so i like very much to go in a hypermarket and see all the books that they have and then to choose one and buy it but if i want to read a certain book and i know that one of my friends have it i will borrow it from him. i always say that i will give it back after i read it whenever will be, because i don;t like to be stressed by a date! and they are ok with that!

Hello, youless,i do not like to read books honestly,i will not buy a book becasue i know i will not finish it,i will just waste my money,so it is better for me to borrow the book,in case i feel bored with the book,i can just return it without spending any money, but i have to remember to return the book or i will have late returning fees charged by the library.

It's fine that you don't like reading, you must have something important and interesting to do in your spare time.

I borrow books all the time from my friends, and I buy second-hand books from time to time and sell them right after I finished reading them... but I still think there are some books worth buying, and keeping. I don't know why, and I'm pretty sure I'll never read them again, but it's just nice to have them there in MY bookshelves. Besides, I enter a bookstore and can get lost in there for hours (my boyfriend teases me, he says I love books more than I love him, I should be banned 100 meters from a bookstore, ha ha ha)

i prefer to borrow books now than buying. books are getting really expensive nowadays... and if i am to buy one, i would usually buy from book sale which is about 70% less of the original price. :)

Either way is fine by me. So long as I can read it and all then that is fine by me. I don't mind buying the book but so long as I can afford it.

I definately prefer buying books. One of the main reasons I buy the books I read is because we have an extremely small library in the town I live in, and they don't have many of the books I want to read.

I love buying books! I never borrow any books except a friend has something I want to read but I don't intend to buy. I just love the feeling of owning books and knowing that they are already there when I have time to read!

Whenever i borrow a book somehow it always ends up at the bottom of my reading list. I always feel so guilty becasue i usually borrow a book for so long that when i return it the person ofter forgets they lent it to me. I would much rather buy a book and take aslong as i need with it should i get busy or seomthing.

well youless i also have the hobie as you do however sometims i also just borrow books from the libary and read. you know the books devided into two parts: some kind of books you just want to read it once and never read again. so for this kind of book i just borrow and read. and another kind of books are defferent: they are worth reading for twice or even more times, for this kind of book i may buy and store them on my book shiefs. so it depends, especially for those tool-books as you need to check up frequently it is necessary for you to buy and own them of course.

I prefer to buy my books ..I have hardly ever gotten a book out of the library or borrowed one. Since I like to underline, highlight and write in the margins, It is much better that I purchase my own books.

In most cases, I will choose the new book. Mainly because I cannot borrow books exactly needed from library or others place.

I like buying books but I also borrow books from my friends. If I really really like the book then I prefer to have it as my own so I'll buy it.

It really depends on the book I want to read. If its something that I want to have like Harry Potter then I'll buy it but if I just want to read during my spare time then I'll just borrow one. Our school library often had the book that I want to read and being one of the employees' daughter, I have the privilege to return it whenever I like as long as I named the book to my mom.

There are books that I will just borrow especially those books that I only need as reference and if I can't afford to buy one for me. I also buy book that I really want that I can do some markings on it.
