Nice PC - Cool Desktop PC
I turn off my computer if I wont be using it for at least 2 hours because I am saving on my electricity bills...it is quite expensive here so I see to it that I turn off my pc when I am not around and another reason is if I have to leave my pc running, I will have to let the aircon running too because it is so hot in my room so I need the aircon so that the pc will not be damaged and would run properly.

We leave it on while we are home. But if we are going to be gone for more then a couple hours we turn it off and we always turn it off at night.

Computers - Desktop Computers and Laptops
It really depends on the situation. If I have some downloads I usually leave it on. But most of the time I turn of the computer when its not in use.

I like to leave my labtop on a lot like when I go to sleep or go to work because it takes a long time for it to get started up and its a pain to wait because i really want to see how much Ive made on my lot lol so I leave it on so when I come home for work I can get started posting .

Luckily out electricity bill was shouldered buy our company, therefore I keep my computer running for 24 hrs 7 days a week. I just turn off some programs when I leave to go to work and keep the other programs running like those I used for downloading.

Actually, I was told once that it is not good to constantly turn your computer on and off too often. That is why Windows came up with hibernate and standby. What do I do? Well, my desktop downstairs is normally on. It will get shut down time to time in the evening. But the kids use it often and when there are seven kids...and yes, the little ones like to use paint on it too...I see no point in turning it off. Then there is the laptop. Which most of the time if I am walking away for a time, I just hibernate it. This way it does not drain the battery and it is not just sitting there idle or has to be powered all the way down.

Not just a high bill, if we talk about safety, I better turn it off when I am away.

it depends. if i'm at home and if i'm doing something on the computer and i have to be away for a bit, i'll usually leave it on. if not and i'll just shut it down..

I never turn it off. Previously to this one I had one that was on for about 7 years. But I service it regularly so it doesn't overheat due to dust etc.

I leave my computer on, it has auto power saving so i guess it is not consuming too much on electicity. I leave my computer on because if i turn it off it takes time before it boot up.

My desktop takes 10 minutes to boot up, so I almost always leave it on. I will occasionally shut it down overnight, but I leave it running pretty much all day, even while I'm at work. My laptop is much quicker to boot up, so I will usually leave it off unless I am using it.
