Who did you look up to or who was your Idol when you were a kid?

I looked up to sir David Attenborough, a well known nature documentary anchor. His shows gave me the first desire to learn about animals and the natural world. Another one of my Idols was Mc Gyver his talents for escaping fascinated me and the show challenged me to learn more of english (since its just a second laguage for us) Because of his show I learned more in basic physics and chemistry and I became more inclined to the english language. How about you who was the person who looked up to or your Idol?

Hi,nielcdg.I like this discusstion.When i'm a child ,i want to be a famous actress.Do you know Li Jiaxin?She is a beautiful actress.She is dignity and taste.She is the most lady in my idea.I love Cheng Long,too.He is famous for his Chinese WuShu.His all movies are watched by me even now i will to watch it.I envy his gongfu.I hope i can do it as he does.Li Jiaxin and Cheng Long are my childhood's inols.Nowadays i only wish i can have a peaceful life by working hard.

Were they chinese actors from Hong-Kong if they are I will research on them more...wow you indeed have good Idol being so traditional and classical. Well now who does get to have their dreams. My cousin is the only one I know who reached her childhood dream to be a flight stewardess for me Im just a English teacher that sometimes have grammar slips when Im writing so fast :)

George Washington is my idol when I was a kid. He is the first president in US. What I looked him up because of the story of the cherry tree. It's a well-known story. I appreciate his honest character.

Wow honesty is indeed an admirable trait to look up to, but its hard to do it now a days. A lot of adults rarely put this into a priority because our lives are so filled with white lies. Thanks for your views

You are right. It's not possible that we are honest all the time. But I still try not to tell lies. If I have to tell a lie, at least it won't be harmful for everyone.

my teacher when i was in elementary.. i dont know anything about artist.. because we dont have elctricity there before.. its a province.. i looked up to Sir Reynaldo Corpuz, hes my teacher and as well as our principal in my elementary school. i want the way he treat us,especially me.i dont know why..the way he teach..im not boring is he is my teacher..im so excited because he shares everything..he make sure that we are not boring in his class

Hello Niel. I see the other interesting discussion i found was written by you as well. He is my idol now as a YOUNG ADULT, and i love it :) I am only sorry there is no chance to meet him and talk to him and thank him and present him the story i dedicated for him on TreeNation.
