The following is an original story penned by myself, hope you enjoy the reading..:}
In Your Mind's Eye
It was a beautiful day, so I decided to go for a walk in the park. It was there in the park that I saw the girl. Sitting on a park bench in a secluded part of the park. She had her head bowed and her long brown hair was fanned out, more or less hiding her face. Her hands were in her lap one on top of the other palms facing up as if they were waiting for some pearl of wisdom to land there.
After a while she got up to leave and I could see that she was small and dainty. Her face was neither pretty nor plain, but more of a compeling nature. She was relaxed and in command of herself as she turned and walked down the path very leisurely and deliberately. There was absolutely nothing about her that should make a strong impression, yet she did impress me.
In the following days, I went to the park everyday. I homed in on the park bench everytime and she was there everytime, except for bad weather days. I gradually moved closer to her, working up my courage to say hello and maybe with some conversation I can dispel this tide of compulsion she has inspired in me.
Finally one day I took my courage by the seat of the pants and I walked over to her and said hello. She returned my hello in a subtle yet melodious voice. She showed no fear nor undue hesitation, so I decided to press my advantage and talk with her. We talked about many things, the weather, nature, the park and other generic things that I would never have found so fascinating if I was talking to someone else.
It became a daily thing to meet at the park bench and talk about anything and everything. One day while we were talking a couple of joggers came along the path. Both of them stopped when they saw us, they each kicked a rock off the path and one even removed a small branch from the path. Both looked at me then looked at her and said "Hi Kelly". She returned their greetings and addressed them both by name.
Over the next few weeks there were many more joggers out and Kelly seemed to know each and every one of them. It was obvious that everyone thought see was as sweet as I did. I never heard her say anything even remotely questionable about anybody or anything.
Everyday I offered to walk her home, but she refused , telling me that she was just on the other side of the park.
One day Kelly didn't come to the park, but I didn't worry since maybe she had something else to do. But the one day streched into a week. Finally I could not stand it any longer and I asked the joggers who were also friends of hers what had happened, they told me she had moved. They told me not to worry because she was with family and everything was fine.
I was relieved that she was all right, but I was saddened by the fact that we would not have any more talks. It was amazing how much I had come to cherish our talks and out time together. I continued to go to the park everyday and sit on the same bench, soon the joggers all knew me and greeted me just like they greeted Kelly.
A few weeks went by in this manner, and I began to notice something. The path that the joggers used was now starting to get cluttered with stones, branches, even some trash. I remembered how the joggers used to pick these items up and discard them to the sides of the path. So one day I asked the joggers why they no longer kept the path neat and clean. They said they didn't need to anymore since Kelly moved.
I must have looked confused because they looked at me and said, "Didn't you know?....Kelly is blind." My expression must have advanced to stupefaction for they all appeared somewhat concerned. In my minds eye I thought back to all those times we talked and were together and I remember her selfless and caring attitude about everything. I finally looked at them and said, "Oh no, she's not blind, she just can't see."

What an unusual well written story now tell me were the joggers clearing a path for her so she wouldn't trip over anything or is there a moral to the story?

The joggers cleared the path for her so she would be able to walk back and forth on her own without aids.

Your story could use a little editing language-wise but is basically good. I particularly like the last line. It ends the story very well.
