Is Nick really alive?

I tuned into Young and Restless today and there he was. What the heck? Didn't he die? Or, are we seeing a replay of the story line that Victor did awhile back when he met his other wife Hope? Please do tell? I had missed the show for awhile and was devastated to hear that he had died. Is it true that he's alive? Or, is this just a dream?
