I was just wondering how many people have seen the new ranking for the All Star Game? As of yesterday (6/11) Russell Martin has taken over the top spot for the starting catcher for the all start game, along with a few others moving up in the runnings. What i was wondering is any one excited about this move by the dodger catcher? Or do you think maybe Paul LoDuca should start?

Russell Martin has to be one of the best catchers in the National League, period. He and Brian McCann are two of the top catchers in the National League, and Paul LoDuca does not even come close. LoDuca is basically enjoying lots of publicity because he plays for the New York Mets, but Martin will be a household name pretty soon after he shows everyone what he can do. So far, he has started strong, and I believe he will be a constant All-Star who can always bat .300-20-100. Not only that, but Martin's defense and handling of pitchers is phenomenal, one of the reasons why Dodgers are on top half of the league in almost every pitching category. It's good to see that Martin is finally getting his due as an All-Star catcher, and I know that he will be a regular in the All-Star game for the next decade or so.
