A long time ago, when I could afford the expensive skin care products, I noticed that some fancy zit creams smelled like calomine lotion. You remember calomine lotion, don't you? Good for chicken pox. Well, I tried it out on my pimples, and it dries those out too. A friend of mine, also uses a drop of real tea tree oil on the pimple to keep it from getting infected. Another one swears by visine. I've never tried that, but it sounds like it would work. Wanted to share one of my best beauty tips. Please share one of yours.

Those are some good tips! I might even have to try some calomine! The only thing I can really think of is lemon juice... you can use it to lighten your hear and clear your freckles!

pardon me for asking... what is "lighten your hear" ? Lemon juice can clear freckles? that is really new. How do you use it? Just apply on the freckles directly? or do you add it to water and use it to rinse the freckles after soaping?

No, don't use lemon juice for your face! It's not good. I went to the dermatologist with my cousin the other day, and she used lemon juice for her face. The dermatologist said it would harm the skin in the long run because of it's acidity. It may look good but in the long run, it will cause the skin to easily dry up. =)

pimples - A pimple is a result of a blockage of the skin's pore. See Acne vulgaris.

Inside the pore are sebaceous glands which produce sticky sebum. When the outer layers of skin shed (as it does continuously), the dead skin cells left behind may become 'glued' together by the sticky sebum. This causes a blockage in the pore, especially when the skin becomes thicker at puberty[1]. The sebaceous glands produce more sebum which builds up behind the blockage, and this sebum harbours various bacteria including the species Propionibacterium acnes. Since the body's natural defence against bacteria is primarily phagocytes (white blood cells), these rush to the site behind the blockage (where the bacteria are). This is what gives some pimples the 'whiteheads' (unless the Phagocytes are deeper in the skin, which means you can't see the 'white' caused by them). The white blood cells then destroy (by phagocytosis) the bacteria to prevent infection. The pain one may feel when a pimple is present is caused by the widening of skin around the white blood cells
Hmm... it's quite clever how you discovered it. But I'd suggest to all other people to try to examine the effects before apply the whole thing. One good way is by choosing a pimple and applying the tips for a couple of times. But specially for the face, I'd suggest listening to the specialist for it. They have told me quite a few times, that sometimes, things really work well with our 'inventions' but it could have bad effects in the long run. Medications are actually tested and retested over a long period of time and they only indicate it's use because that's where it's supposed to be used for. Well, I don't really know. Plus, one thing may be good for you but not for the others. So take proper precautions (we wouldn't want to mess with our faces). Different strokes for different folks. =)
