How are they getting away with this stuff?

What's with all the rude comments?
I just read another post where someone slammed a member for asking a simple question. Apparently, the person responding used very bad language and was mean.
How are these people being allowed to post abusive and rude comments, without getting deleted. This is a mystery to me. I've heard that good posts are being deleted, while these mean posts still remain.
Does that seem fair? Have you noticed this too, where your post got deleted, though it was harmless? While another person's more rude post remained?
What kind of message is that sending to these people? I think it is just encouraging them to do it again.

I wish there is a way where the person who started the discussion can delete posts on there that they don't appreciate. It would make everyone think twice about being rude.

That is an excellent point you are making. I know for a fact that lots of people posting discussions would delete points of view that conflicted with their own. I guess it's just human nature. I think that is why My Lot does not allow us to delete each other.

I have to agree with you. I have seen a lot of very bad posts on here lately. I usually give them a negative rating when they are really bad. Whether that helps or not, who knows.

I have seen alot of this lately. i actually went on a little self propelled reporting spree yesterday. i found some people "stalking" another member on her every post and reply. Just being plain rude and harassing her. i reported it all to Mylot and quoted the harassment rules, etc. As of today, all the posts remain, so it looks as if reporting doesn't always work either. I felt horrible for this girl. She never even responded back to these people, yet there they were harassing her every move. It is getting pretty ridiculous.

I do not have this experience, but I think here we mylotters are all friends, although someone may not be in our friends list, but we all are here to communicate and to earn, yes,it is true that different people have different opinion, but we can say it in a warm way but not in bad words.

Yea I had a "stalker" on here and apparently she didnt like how I responded to one of her discussions (I didnt say anything bad) but I wasnt the first person she had done that too so she responded to all of my discussions and was saying crazy things that had nothing to do with the topic..so everytime she repsonded to me I would report her butt because she was using such vulgar language. Eventually all her responses to my discussion got deleted and I havent heard from her since :) And my girl katesmama got into it and told her where she needed to go LOL! Thanks!

Good for you Gorgeous24! I'm glad you turned stalker girl into the My Lot authorities. Someone has to stand up to the bullies.
Katesmama is a good friend of mine, too, I'm proud to say. Thanks for dropping by. I always love chatting with you. You have the most insightful comments.

i hate those men using rude and abusive language, how could they use such dirty words and languages or laugh at somebody?
whatever how easy the question, how simple it is, every member has the right to speak their opinions out. you know, the simple question may mean nothing to those rude guy, but have those guys never asked same kind of question to sombody, sure they did, so they are laughing at someone, indirectly laughing at themselves. on the other hand, i think mylot should be responsible for those bad guys and delete their comments and aggressive sayings and even could delete their account!

I really question this myself. All this time I have read topics where people have been given rude responses and reported them yet nothing is done about it. I start to think what is actually mylot doing.
If we do not report them, the rude comments will continue. If we do, nothing is done. Maybe rude for one person is not rude for another, but then why so many members have been saying what you said about rude posts remained? this means many members do think certain posts are rude and reported them, so it's not like only one person feel like that.

You are right! These mean comments should not be allowed to persist in this community. Hopefully, there would be a way to ban mean people from staying.
