Quick grab the fridge!

If you could only keep one appliance from your kitchen, what would it be? And, the refrigerator doesn't count, because you can't live without fresh foods. For now, we'll pretend you get to keep the fridge and one other appliance. For me, I'd give up the oven, stove range, and sink. But, you'd have to let me keep my George Foreman counter top grilling machine. On most days, I can cook entire meals on that gizmo. From steamed veggies and frozen tater tots to pork steak and corn bread. What about you? What would it be?

Wow, before I finished reading yours, I was already thinking George Foreman. That thing is great! I've never tried frozen tater tots, but I will now! I love grilling chicken on it or making burgers!

Have you tried the marinated raw chicken from Perdue (I think)? It's divine. I used to cook that on the George Foreman machine. Very yummy! Please do try the tater tots. My preschooler loves her George cooked tater tots and frozen french fries cooked this way. And, cleaning is a breeze. Just spritz the grill plates with a little water, plug it in, and the grease wipes off easily. You can't say that about an oven, can you? I have a confession. I wanted the George Foreman grilling machine (the big family size ones) for years, but could never afford one. I'd watch it on QVC for years, and dream of the day when I could get it. Then last month, my husband found two, practically brand new George Foreman Grilling Machines (the big ones!) at a pawn shop. For less than $15 each. When he came home with just one for that price, I made him get back in the car and go back for the second one.

That's a tough one, but I would probably have to keep my microwave. There are just too many times that I want to quickly reheat leftovers and can just stick it in there and have what I need!

Oh for sure it would have to be the microwave! I can cook on a fire if I need to but I could not live without my microwave!!!

This is harder than it sounds lol! I'm torn between bringing my microwave or my rotisserie (you know..the "Set it and Forget it" kind). I can do a lot more in the microwave but all the rotisserie food tastes so good! The sink and dishwasher can stay put! I'll use any excuse to not be bothered with dishes anymore.

Well, I might be bending the rules a little bit, but I would keep my stove, because that also has the oven! But I'm not sure that the sink ought to be considered an appliance either, since there is no electric to it... but I don't know.

Very good point. So, here's what's on my allowed list: the fridge, the George Foreman Grilling machine and the sink. That's cheating done right!
