What resulted in the making of HUMAN BEINGS???

Don't you think that we the human beings are really the most amazing creatures on earth...I just wonder often that in terms of brain power no other animal is anywhere near to the humans...Many animals have similar thinking power, and are somehow alike in terms of the perception and understanding capabilities. But human beings are far superior to any other animal on earth...Even the just predecessors of man are nowhere near to man in that respect. This often makes me think, are human beings the result of gradual evolution or some terrible mutation? What is your opinion?

My opinion is that we were made in the likeness of God, That is why we are superior to any other animal on earth. I do know I few people that would argue with you about humans being the most superior LOL
