Messed up hip after having a baby?

Has anyone ever heard of wrecking your hip after having a baby? I had my son almost a month ago. About a week afterwards, I woke up with sore hips, nothing major. I figured my body was just readjusting itself. But by noon, my left hip was REALLY hurting. I´ve been in so much pain since then that I can´t even walk very far. The doctor said it would go back to normal and that I walked too much too soon. It just seems weird to me, though. But I recently heard that there was another woman here before who had the same issue. So, anyone else out there heard of this problem?
