I dont know about you guys but its really a hassle when a guard stops you because he forgot your face, or if he is asking for identification or is too nosy even if you have a legit business with the building or company that you are visiting. But I know they are there for your protection its just some of them can be a total jerk sometimes. What are your views about the men in uniform.

I dealt with security department and I know their mentality well. After all they try to help the visitor. Some securities are jerks as you said, with such securities I pretend to be serious and act like a cop.

They are doing their job, and they are protecting you're life. Maybe if ppl treated them with some respect they wouldn't seem to be 'jerks'. Would you rather have any joe blow walk in off the street or a guard who stops you cas he's doing his job? I used to work at a secure building and I saw how many ppl disrepect the guards. They are there for a reason. GIVE EM A BREAK!!!

Well I was just asking for your opinion thanks for the point believe me I'm aware of that and if you really read my post you would find that I said that also. Any way you are right they are doing their jobs and I do respect them but despite that some are just power tripping because one guard stopped (mind you I worked in the building he forgot my face) yet he let a girl in who didnt even worked there she just visited a friend she just passed by and smiled at him. Any ways there are guards that I do admire those who approach you with dignity and respect I like those guys very much, its just the bad ones that Im asking about not to generalize all of them. Dude dont use all caps it seems that you shouted at me needlessly Im just asking for opinions not a lecture.

Well, you get a point there. I do sometimes get annoying with those guard that really too noisy or they too straight over something small. If the matter can be understandable, well that fine with me. After all they only doing their job. For example, if they examine your bags before going into supermarket or shopping centre. That's fine with me. But if they start to looking for fault like when they have some urgent paper examination of motorcyle's licenses. Like my friend, she on motorcyle, and a police patrol stop her only because he said that she did not turn her light on. It was turn on, for god's sake. And he made another excuse saying that it's not bright enough. Man, that's annoying. I respect those people for doing their job, just don't too overdoing it.
