Your assignment: (1) In the form of a comment to this discussion, answer the creative writing prompt of the day. (2) Creative Writing Prompt of the day: Close your eyes briefly. Think of one object that's in the room and focus on it. Without opening your eyes, recall as much detail as you can about it. After three minutes or so, open your eyes and write about the object without looking at it. [from creativewritingprompts.com] (3) Next, in your paper journal, expand upon this writing prompt by doing this with several other items in the room.

Well considering that everything is cluttered on my computer desk that would be interesting. It sounds like memory recall exercise. However why use a paper journal when there is a computer here and a keyboard I can type on? Then I do not have laptop, yet.

::smiles:: I encouraged the use of a paper journal (or even a notebook) because I've learned through various venues that it's a good way to embrace the actual "act" of creative writing - kind of going back to basics by introducing pen to paper. I love the act of writing and it helps me to see it in my handwriting, as well as typed on the screen.
