Tonite is our soccer league picnic. I've cut up 5 watermelons, and i'm ready to go after work! This year we're having a coaches vs. refs game, and a soccermoms vs. coach moms game! I signed up to play in both, which absolutely amazed my family. So I bought new shinguards, my duffel bag is packed and I'm trying to psych myself up. So let's all hope I don't make a total fool of myself, pull any major muscles, or wake up feeling like I got hit by a truck tomorrow morning! LOL I wonder if they make Bengay in industrial size tubes? LOL

GO GO GO GO, SOCCERMOM! GOAL! Hats off to you, SM! I remember when my baby started out in soccer (she was 8, and she's 24 now), we moms had matches against our daughters. Except for a couple of moms (of which I am definitely not one cause I am such a klutz) who can really play, the rest of us caused our respective daughters to cover their faces in shame! One game, it got so bad the moms just decided to sit down by one of the goalposts and gossip! The girls carried on, after vain attempts to get us up and running again, and even resorting to blackmailing and catcalls, for shame them! They ended up finishing the game among themselves, hahaha! I do so loved going to the games, esp. the tournaments, and everyone knows where I've been on the weekend because I always lose my voice from all the yelling (encouragements, of course!). Have lots and lots of fun and I think you can get BenGay by the bulk from Costco, LOL!!! Kidding!!

I am with you on the klutz wagon. I just know that about an hour from now I am going to humiliate everyone around me, but hey, it's all in fun! (I hope) A mother daughter or father daughter game is a good idea, I'll have to bring it up for next year's picnic!

You are a braver soul than I ... while they still have those kind of activities for my girls, I just can't get into it, I always hurt myself and always feel like a fool in them, hope you have a great time going, tell us tomorrow how much FUN it is ...

I wish it would rain here. It's been almost 90 and sunny for a week, with no end in sight. All I can think of is the ground is as hard as a rock! LOL I'd take a nice cold, soft puddle over this any day!

I was a soccer mom for about 12 years until our daughter retired her jersey. I miss it like heck, but we stayed so busy all the time going to tournaments and getting all caught up in it that we really didn't have much time to do anything extra when it was soccer season. I miss watching my blondie and her teammates though running up & down the field...... You are quite brave to sign up to play. Be proud of yourself. You are doing something I never would have done!
