My 2 yr. old constantly has his thumb in his mouth. This is the 1st out of 4 kids that I have had a problem with thunb sucking. Any ideas on how to break him of this habit?

Just let it be and feel relaxing. I have my child and he'll be 3 years old soon. I read some books and learned that it's very common that babies like sucking their thumbs. They do this for seeking the comfort. When child grows up, this habit will be quit by himself/herself. You don't have to force them to get rid of it. They know when to stop it.

It was my problem too before with my youngest daughter until she reach 5 thumb sucking is what she makes sleep. Until her thumbnail gets marked and even callos around. I thought she only done this when she's up to sleep so I try to put some bandage around her thumb so when she tries to suck it she feels that her thumb is wrap and thick. Everynight I do that and after a week of not doing the thumbsucking she finally stop it.
