what's the difference between nintendo ds paht and nintendo ds lite?

my ds lite was broken. i cant afford another lite on my budget right now so I am thinking of buying a ds paht. whats is the difference between the two? your response will be greatly appreciated. thanx

a ds phat is the original. and you should try and fix the one you have, keep it, save up for a DS lite, and sell the Phat when it's a collectible. the differences are: Longer battery (i think). Brighter backlight. Different stylus, moved to left hand side. sleeker, like a PSP. smaller. the only drawback is that is you like playing GBA games, the cartridge sticks out and if you happen to move it at all, the game (DS or GBA) freezes.

Okizzle got most of the differences. However there's one more: You can adjust the brightness of the backlight of the DS Lite. There are 4 different levels of brightness (From slightly dim to 'you must be blind to use this setting'.)
