There is a hospital in Los Angeles that was not treating a BLEEDING patient who was in extreme pain that was sitting in their ER. Her boyfriend and another person called 911 and 911 said they could not help because she was already in a hospital, they could not send someone to pick her up to bring her to another hospital, and they weren't responsible for the poor care she was receiving. The medical examiner is ruling her death "accidental". I think these fools should all be charged with murder! Funny thing - the police got to the hospital to arrest her on a warrant. Why couldn't they come pick her up and bring her to another hospital? What has our medical system come to when a person can be bleeding from the mouth in an ER (I don't care if it is a "poor" hospital) and not receive any kind of treatment? This is a must read to see how rude the 911 operators were to the two callers. http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2007Jun13/0,4670,HospitalDeathProbe,00.html

As much as I hate to say this I'm not surprised. My daughter lives in LA and she always has stories like this one to tell me. So called "poor" hospitals are always saying they are understaffed but who's fault is that? It always ends up being the fault of the person who had no option but to go there.

Since this hosptial was already being investigate, this story seems to be the icing on the cake so to say. It is such a shame that we have such wretched health care in this country.
