I think that's what our family should do, but my husband is such a big eater there's no getting around having a meal!

It's been a family tradition with my family for several generations to have Oyster Stew on Christmas Eve. It started with my Great grandparents and has traveled down through the kids, and now I'm the one who gets to make it every year. I'm in the process of teaching my daughter how it's done, so she can continue the tradition.

That's very interesting. I've never had oyster stew. Is it something like clam chowder? I think it's awesome to pass down family traditions like that.

On Christmas day my family goes to my uncle's house. We have ham, brocoli cassarole, potatoes, corn, rolls, and a lot of yummy desserts.

Sometimes we have ham. We switch off between that and turkey. I like both, as long as it's cooked right.
