For years I struggled to deal with being myself, I didn't know what that was. I didn't act like someone I wasn't but I didn't act like myself as such.
(Double dutch?)
Well I can honestly say when I was accepted by others here, I accepted myself and with that came the joy of being me. I can be strange, funny (well try) and caring. I wished I found it sooner, I'm sure at least someone knows what I'm talking about. It's hard stage being a teenager :)
You thoughts? was you the same.. I am I mad? being myself is the best thing I can be. (least in my opinion)
I'm dying to hear yours.

Thanks! P.s Please click yes after posting if you enjoy being yourself. (it's a sorta hobbie)

Well yes Joey I think everyone struggles with being themselves from time to time. I know that when I was growing up I was more of a follower then a leader. So I mostly did what my "friend" wanted to do. Even if it meant getting in to trouble. I do enjoy being myself now though.

Hey L2S =)
That's great to hear. I was quite into following my friends, they always up to something which would backfire. (lol)
I'm glad you enjoy being yourself :)

Being yourself is always a good thing and I don't think that you're mad at all. I am that way too and if no one wants to accept the real me than that is their problem and not mine.

Well it's a long time since I was a teenager Joey, but I guess we all find it difficult to find ourselves when we're growing up, and I am glad you have got to know and like yourself at a relatively young age. I must admit I do quite like myself (LOL!), and enjoy being myself too.

First of all i want to say that i am happy that you are yourself here. And that you feel good with it here:)
I do understand what you are saying, i think that there is always a stage in our lives that we ask questions and we have a little problem with being ourselves.
We find out that we are strange or have different sides that society does not accept, and we start fearing it ourselves.
I know that i noticed that in myself in an early age, but i decided i do not care about what other think.
But the biggest fear was when i was affraid from myself.
It seemed like i have a few characters in myself: the clown, the strange, the secret and more sides.
Sometimes it felt like i was playing roles.
And my wish was knowing myself and getting out all of those parts in me.
So i just got interested in theater in an early age, and it helped me face all of my fears, and get all of my inner sides in roles that i played or dealt with.
But this is natural, and i again i am glad that you enjoy being yourself.
:)
