The days of Noah were so bad that God wanted to destroy the entire earth and all of humanity. He only saved Noah's family and his son's families. Well, in addition to all the clean and unclean animals but that's another story. Anyway, we may think that the world is so bad right now and how bad humanity has gotten but obviously it isn't as bad as it was then. Times are actually better now than they were in Noah's day. When times get as bad as Noah's day it will be the "end times" and Jesus will return. Yay!

well, you know, the people were not very godly at that time - they also ridiculed Noe and his family. They never expected that God would be sending His Wrath, no way would the water flood the earth, especially not where they were in the droughted desert. When Christ returns in His Glory the world in its wickedness will be very surprised to find out how wrong they were - the world will not heed the warnings given them, instead they will ridicule and scorn those who do. They mock Our Lord and His Wrath will come when it is least expected. beware. It pretty much gives the answer in this verse here ----------- For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, even till that day in which Noe entered into the ark, And they knew not till the flood came, and took them all away; ------------------- context: Heaven and earth shall pass, but my words shall not pass. But of that day and hour no one knoweth, not the angels of heaven, but the Father alone. And as in the days of Noe, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, even till that day in which Noe entered into the ark, And they knew not till the flood came, and took them all away; so also shall the coming of the Son of man be. Then two shall be in the field: one shall be taken, and one shall be left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill: one shall be taken, and one shall be left. Watch ye therefore, because ye know not what hour your Lord will come. 4 But know this ye, that if the goodman of the house knew at what hour the thief would come, he would certainly watch, and would not suffer his house to be broken open. Wherefore be you also ready, because at what hour you know not the Son of man will come. Who, thinkest thou, is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath appointed over his family, to give them meat in season.

I think Noah's family was saved by God but God also knew that Noah's offsprings would still do sins. That's why God had to go to the world in the form of flesh, the Son of Man (= Jesus) so that men can really be saved from their sins.

Noah came and went as any human does. That has no relevance to a 2nd coming of noah. In that case as in most if not all cases were a referance to "the son of man" was made it was made in direction of Jesus since he was the word of God born in flesh as the "son of man" to lift sin from us.

The basis of the point was touched on in a few responses above. The coming of Christ will be like the days of noah on several levels. Though it will not be a flood as God promised to never flood the earth again, the lord was pointing to the strife and sin of the world at the point God chose to wipe the earth clean. If you look around the world now you will see it plainly that we are getting to that point again and may very well have already crossed that threshold. In another aspect of that statement, the bible also says that Jesus will come like a thief in the night. We know Jesus is coming we just dont know the exact day so we must prepare and be ready. Just as so, God told Noah the flood was coming, though noah did not know the exact day he prepared as God commanded. Noah also called out to the people though they would not here him. Hmmmm kinda what goes on today in some areas. But the lord also said that when this day draws near many will come to Christ. Those being saved all ove rthe world are climbing rapidly in numbers over the past few years just as the bible said it would. The day is coming so make preperations and be ready.

I think it meant just like how the people did not know that the flood was going to come and the world was going to be destroyed, so will the coming of Christ be. If you think about it, the only ones who knew was Noah and his family right? Now a days, the only ones who believe in the 2nd coming are those who believe in God. We should know when the coming is here because the bible tells us to watch for the signs. Now the people in Noah's days did not know nothing about the signs so they did not see it coming. Just like how the unbelievers will not see the coming of Christ. And by the time he comes, it will be too late just like the people in the flood. Understand that?

In the days of Noah, Noah and his family were the only ones who regarded God. I would suppose that the others regarded them s odd because the others were too busy with their lives, they were getting married, the fathers were giving their daughters in marriage. The people were buying and selling or conducting businesses, but no one thought about God. We are seeing the same thing now. Ministers and Reverends will be preaching but not many will pay any mind because they are too busy with lives, getting married, fathers escorting their daughters down the aisle to their new husbands. Men and women will be conducting businesses, but not one of these people think of God. The ones that regard God and pray to Him will be considered freaks and people wlll laugh at them.
