I usually give something useful which he casually mentioned that he wants to buy. Last year I bought sweaters, This year some casual shirts, which he can wear for doctor check ups and relatives' house visits. My children bought books and a blanket.

bag. my bf has a habit of sticking to only one bag until it worns out. he usually uses his in the office. i gave him one during his birthday and he is using it everyday.
